If any of you know Cause, or just Impediment, why these two Persons should not be joined together in Holy Matrimony, ye are to declare it. This is the first time of asking, on Sunday 14th August 1859, By me, H Badnall. This is the second time of asking, on Sunday 21st August 1859, By me, H Badnall. Marriage solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of Cawthorne in the County of York. 14th October 1859, George Dickinson of Full Age, Bachelor, occupation Labourer of Cawthorne, father John Dickinson, father's occupation Labourer. TO. Hannah Chappell aged 17 years, Spinster of Silkstone, father William Chappell, father's occupation Nail Maker. Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England by me, H Badnall, Curate. This Marriage was solemnized between us George Dickinson (X his mark) and Hannah Chappell (X her mark) in the Presence of us, Joseph Mines (wrote own name) (only one witness). In All Saints Church, Cawthorne Marriage Registers 1859, Page 72, No 144. 1861 Census - Hannah Dickinson aged 20, occupation Nail Maker living School House, Cawthorne with husband George Dickinson (30), occupation Labourer Agricultural and one son John H (Henry) Dickinson (4 months). 1871 Census - Hannah Dickinson aged 29, living Cawthorne Lane, Cawthorne (Hoylandswaine) with husband George Dickinson (36 (?40)), occupation C??? Labourer and 3 children Thomas Dickinson (9) a Scholar, Sarah Dickinson (5) a Scholar and Ellen Dickinson (2). 1881 Census - Annah (Hannah) Dickinson aged 46 ( ?41), living Lindley Fold, Cawthorne with husband George Dickinson (48), occupation Agricultural Labourer and 4 children Thomas Dickinson (19), occupation Labourer at Colliery, Ellen Dickinson (12) a Scholar, John Dickinson (7) a Scholar and Mary Dickinson (5). 1891 Census - Hannah Dickinson aged 50, living South Lane, Cawthorne with husband George Dickinson (59), occupation Farm Labourer and one son John Dickinson (17), occupation Coal Miner. 1901 Census - Hannah Dickinson aged 60, living South Lane, Cawthorne with husband George Dickinson (69), occupation Road Mender and Labourer on Farm. 1911 Census - Hannah Dickinson aged 69, a Widow, living Green Side, Hoylandswaine. According to the 1911 Census Hannah had been married 43 years, she had had 6 children born alive, 5 still living and one died before 1911. Death registered - Hannah Dickinson aged 83, June q 1925, Huddersfield, volume 9a, page 322.
