About Hannah Downing
Hannah Downing was the 1st of 12 children of Richard Downing and Mary Edge. She was born on the 19th of the 1st month of the year 1742 in Uwchlan Twp., in Chester County, Pennsylvania during the development of Colonial America.
As did numerous persons during this time, Hannah as well as several of her siblings perished due to (most likely) Small Pox, for which at that time was no treatment. Hannah, Thomas and Jane all died within days of each other. It is believed all the children (who died young) of Mary and Richard are buried here.
Hannah was 10 when she died.
