Hannah Markert (1809-1896) was a daughter of John Lewis (Johann Ludwig) Markert and Catherine Cocklereese (Kachelreiss) from North Carolina.
Wife of Samuel Emrick (1807-1880). They were the parents of 11 children, all of whom survived to have families of their own.
Burial in Shearer Cemetery, Braddyville, Page County, Iowa.
