About Hannah Graham
From the Marysville Tribune, May 9, 1877: "GOLDEN WEDDING
May 1st 1877 Ralph and Hannah Graham celebrated their Golden Wedding. They were married May 1st 1827 by Wm. Richey Esq. who is now living in Kansas. Ralph Graham was born Feb. 23d 1806. Hannah Burdick was born June 6th 1807. They have 7 children, 30 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Five of the children, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild were present. The children are all married, and those that were present had their companions with them except 2, they being lost by death. The dinner was nice. The principal cakes were 2 large gold cakes, one bearing the inscription "May 1st 1827" and the other "May 1st 1877."
The groom is a stout, healthy man and can ride horseback equal to a boy. The bride has had a good deal of sickness but is enjoying tolerable good health at present. The day was one of pleasure and happiness to all."
According to May Thompson, they were buried at home in the yard for a time because of the danger of grave robbers.
