Hannah Shaw was born on 11 January 1723/24 at Dighton. She was the daughter of Deacon Abraham Shaw and Anna [or Amy] Phillips.

Her married name was Hathaway. She married 2nd (intentions) at Dighton on 1 Feb 1752 to Ephraim HATHAWAY, Jr.
