- In connection with the will of Judah4 Hopkins it is important to note that he married, first, at Eastham, on 14 April, 1702, Hannah Mayo5 (Samuel4, Hannah Prence3, Patience2 Brewster, William1), who died 5 July, 1719; and he married, second, at Harwich, on 12 May, 1720, Hannah Mayo5 (Hannah Freeman4, Mercy Prence3, Patience2 Brewster, William1), who survived him. These two Hannahs were second cousins. The births of Judah's children will be found in our fourth volume ; his two marriages in our seventh volume, and the death of his first wife in our sixth volume. It will be seen that there was but one child, Samuel5 Hopkins, by the second wife.
