About Hannah Neely

Daughter of John Starr, who died in 1749, at Monaghan Township, then Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. (The township was separated to form York County just a few months after his death. After further divisions, the farm is near what is now Clear Spring, in Franklin Township, York County.)

Married soon after her father's death, to Thomas Neely Jr of nearby Tyrone Township (now in Adams County, PA). Her husband signed his Will in November 1793 at Mecklenburg County, which was proved in this county in January 1794. He is likely buried next to her, but no gravestone has ever been surveyed.

Hannah and Thomas sold all of their land in Pennsylvania in 1766 and purchased land in this Steele Creek area in 1767.
