About Hans Rahn
Hans and Wiebke (nee Rahn) Rahn and their four children arrived in this country via the "Teutonia" on the second of June, 1865. They originally settled near Bourbon, but soon moved to the Macedonia neighborhood northeast of Garrett. Wiebke died in January of 1866 and in July of that year Hans married Magretha Leu. Hans had three children with his second bride and also adopted Magretha's daughter Mary. Magretha died in January of 1886; he married Catharina ______ in 1889. Hans died at the home of his son Henry northwest of Tuscola in May of 1907.
