Hello Jamie :
Thank you for your e-mail. I'm afraid I don't have alot of information to give you but here goes -
My husband was born in Innifree in May 1936, his name was Harald Alexander Hornung. I believe his parents may have lived there from the early l930's until 1940 when they moved to Edmonton where they are shown in Hendersons Directory from 1940 on.
Alison Hornung was a teacher but I don't know if she taught in Innisfree. The last place I am sure that she taught was Silver Creek 1929-30.
Eigil Hornung came over from Denmark in 1927 married Alison Hutchinson in 1929 and I believe at abt that time moved to Innisfree. Eigle Hornung worked for Imperial Oil before joining the RCAF in 1942. I don't know if he was working for them in Innisfree.
I would really appreciate any information you may be able to find out about their time in Innisfree.
I will look forward to hearing from you.
Jean
