About Hari Ram Sethi
. Lala Hari Ram Sethi.
Lala Hari Ram Sethi (D.O.B: 10 Sravana 1926 (1869 AD) & D.O.D: 2/3 Chaitra 1999 (15/16 March, 1942 AD) was married to Dhan Devi Sethi (Chadha). She died on 07.02.1969 at the residence of Dr. Jugdish Raj Sethi, her younger son. Late Hari Ram Sethi served in the Telegraph Department in Jammu & Kashmir for Forty years in Vikrmi era 1946 (1889 AD) to 1986 (1929 AD) and survived by one daughter and two sons vice- Laja wanti Sethi, Baldev Raj Sethi and Jagdish Raj Sethi.
Originaly Lala Hari Ram Sethi S/o Lala Amir Chand Sethi is from Sethi family of “Bhera” District Sargodha (Shapur), now in Pakistan. There my Grand Father and Grand Mother were having three houses and a piece of land. Houses were in locality – Sethiawala was constricted about twenty five years before the partition of the country in 1947. The second house was also in the same locality and the third house was a three story in locality Sethiawala, Kaylan, on seven and a half Marla land and forth one was a plot measuring Twelve Maralas in the locality – Shish Mahal Bazar, which was kept for a shop. The construction of shop was not done as this bazaar was not very important at that time for business. Moreover he lala Hari Ram Sethi was born and bred up in Jammu in own ancestral House in Mholla Chokan Fathu which house he had to allocate later for the best reason’s not known. He received his education in the state school and learns the signaling work at Kashmir. He served the State Telegraph Department from Sambt 1946(1889 A D) to 1986 (1929 A D) and was pensioner of Jammu and Kashmir state.
