Reed ---Harold E. Reed, age 84, of Jackson, formerly of 731 Montgomery St., Marshall, died early Wednesday morning at Oaklawn Hospital after being a patient since July 14. ---Reed was born November 3, 1901 in Bellevue to Charles and Evelyn (Martin) Reed. He was a resident of Marshall most of his life, moving to Jackson in 1984. He was employed at the Marshall Lumber, retiring in 1966. He was married to the former Lorretta McIntosh. ---Surviving are his wife Lorretta; a daughter Joyce of Petosky; a son Ronald Reed of Bellevue; one brother, Archie Reed of Marshall; two sisters, Edith Allie of Kalamazoo, Hazel Grover of Battle Creek; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd M. Reed, January 13, 1985. ---Friends may call at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m with the Rev. Glenn Sauntmon officiating.
