HARRY E. CLEMMER
Harry E. Clemmer, about 47, died Thursday at about 11 p.m. at his home near Swoope. He had been subject to heart attacks for some time, but his condition was not considered alarming, and death came unexpectedly.
Mr. Clemmer was a son of G. Lewis Clemmer, of Augusta county. He was a farmer and spent all of his life in the Swoope section. Surviving are his wife, who was Miss Carrie Peck; one son, Lewis Clemmer, at home; one brother, Dr. Charles Clemmer, of Daytona, Fla., and one sister, Mrs. J. Lester Hoy, of Staunton.
Mr. Clemmer was chairman of the board of deacons of Hebron Presbyterian church; a man prominent in his community, and held in high esteem by all.
The funeral will be held from Hebron church Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Hobart Shiflet, Clarence Shiflet, Mac Hanger, J.W. Bear, Wallace Trimble, and Grayson Shue; honorary, W.W. King, Percy H. Willson, W.H. Landes, D.H. Naill, H.T. Trimble, R.E. Layman, R.H. Mizer, J.W. Scott, Charles Wagner, and J.M. Trimble.
