BEAVERTON-Services for Harry R. Johnson, 79, will be Friday at Reedville Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lewis Abbott officiating. Friends who wish may call at Fuiten Mortuary Chapel in Hillsboro today, and until noon Friday.

Mr. Johnson died Tuesday in a Portland care center, following a short illness.

He was born at Moline, Ill., Oct. 7,1894, and spent his early life in Des Moines, Ia. He was married to Candace Clapham, March 10, 1921, at Gillett, Wyo., where he had homesteaded in 1920.

He came to Portland in 1942 to work in the shipyards. Later, he was a bookkeeper for Morehouse Glass Co., in Portland, then was employed for a short time at Oregon Stamp & Coin Co., until his retirement in 1955. after retirement he had a stamp collecting business at his home. He had lived in Beaverton since 1948.

He was a member of Reedville Presbyterian Church and the Stamp Club of Oregon.

He is survived by his widow, Candace; sons, Ray of Vancouver, Wash., and Bob of Aloha; daughter, Mrs. Chris Losli of Hillsboro; sister Mildred Johnson of Los Angeles, and 12 grandchildren.
