Ohinemuri Gazette, Volume IX, Issue 664, 20 January 1900, Page 2 Mr H. Ladner, one of Mr J, employees, met with a nasty accident at the timber mill, Esplanade, Paeroa, on Thursday afternoon. He was putting a piece of ironbark wood into a lathe, when the wood split and a piece hit him on the top of the head, causing a nasty wound and rendering him unconscious.
