About Harvey Leigh Shatto

Came from Indiana to Kansas with parents. Brought the family to West Coast in the 1890's:first to Oregon and then California. Variously reported as a farmer & carpenter in all census reports in California and then 1920 Arkansas and in 1930 Missouri. From 1910, a self ordained evangelist, he focused on this avocation from 1930 onward and traveled the west coast in a big panel truck with large signs on the side "Where Will You Spend Eternity". He spent his last 30 years of life estranged from his children and buried by his son Carl in an unmarked grace in the family plot in Sebastopol.
