Joseph is a Justice of the Peace and blacksmith. He was blacksmith for the I.C.R. for many years. He married twice....His second wife is Flora, daughter of John N. McNeil, of Cooper’s Pond.
Issue: Allan, Jack, John, Hector, Catherine, Maria, Maggie S., Ambrose, Mary Ann, Martina, Angus J., Annie May, and Katie Ann. Another son died young.
