April 29, 1997 Helen Karalunas Ansilio, of Kingston, died Tuesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital
She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Agatha Janovitz Karalunas.
She lived most of her life in Kingston and attended Kingston public schools.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Annunciation Church, Kingston.
She was a volunteer guide at the Nathan Denison House, Forty Fort. She was a member of the Wyoming Valley Quilters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick; sisters, Albina, Anne and Leona; brothers, Matthew and Vincent.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ellen Petcavage, Bear Creek Township; a son, Larry Ansilio, Western Springs, Ill.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Tillie Karalunas, Wesley Village, Jenkins Township; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mary’s Annunciation Church.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pringle.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hoyt Library, 284 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, 18704, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
