By 1925 Thomas E Moe is living alone with his mother during the census. There is no indication that he was married. The marriage must have been quite brief if they married in 1919 and are no longer together in 1925 or she died.

Thomas Moe remarried to Dagmar Faye in 1926. So Helen and he may have divorced and or she may have died. There is the death of a Helen Kemp in 1927 but no linking records to say it's her. If it is her they would have divorced previously for her to return to her maiden name. Her sister Flora divorced. Helen must have died prior to 1953 as Mary has only one surviving sister on her death in 1953. The dates fit below it's just there are no linking records. So she died between 1926 to 1953 and the following death is a possibility. I have searched for Newspaper death notices but not located one.

I have sent for this record no it's not this Helen Kemp but a Helen Kempe by marriage. Helen Kemp in the New York, New York, U.S., Extracted Death Index, 1862-1948 Name: Helen Kemp Age: 38 Birth Year: abt 1889 Death Date: 11 Apr 1927 Death Place: Manhattan, New York, USA Certificate Number: 9419 I couldn't find a grave in either A Billion Graves of Find A Grave.

In 1942 his Draft Card for WW2 refers to his wife Mrs Thomas E Moe as his contact. This is Dagmar.

I cannot identify any other records regarding Helen and no trees have other records. It seems unlikely without some serendipity of finding her. If she remarried with records being what they are it's difficult to find her. I will review this again in a few years. New records may become available.
