Helen (Hunt) Stivers, 86, of Olney died March 10, 2004, at Sterling House in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born June 27, 1917, in Richland County, the daughter of Paul Hubert and Lulu Frances (Totten) Hunt. She married Albert Max Stivers on February 6, 1938. He preceded her in death December 10, 1979.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney.

Mrs. Stivers is survived by a son, Rick Stivers; a daughter, Elaine Shaw; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Crosby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Sharon Louise; two brothers, John Franklin and James Lewis Hunt; and four sisters, Myrtle Jenner, Pauline Gayer, Luella Kemletz, and Naomi Spear; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Deaconess Hospice.
