Helmer Olson was a brother to my father Orville Olson. Helmer lived with his parents until their deaths. He bought their farm and paid off the rest of the children their share. He married Eunice Strid and they lived on the farm until he retired. He sold the farm and was eventually torn down.Helmer loved to play the violin. He would come over to Orville and Arlene house and he would play the fiddle and Orville would play the guitar. They would remove all the furniture out of the kitchen and everyone would dance.I stayed with him and his wife Eunice a few times when they lived on the farm. We would collect walnuts from the trees for the winter. And all the raspberries were so good with milk on them.Shall miss them so much, and all the good all times - julrene thornberg
