Hendrik Rautenbach (1932 - 1998)

Hendrik (66) and his wife Anna Marie Magdalena Rautenbach (63) lived on a smallholding in Uitlught, Vereeniging. On 17th March 1998 they fell victim to a brutal double murder. Hendrik was beaten with a blunt object, then shot in the head, his wife, Anna Marie was tied up in her bedroom and shot. Police said it appeared that Mr Rautenbach and his wife were overpowered about 13.30.
