Brief overview:

Henk (44), father of two boys, was murdered at his smallholding in Donkerhoek near Pretoria on Nov 17 2008 while he was working on his computer. The only item which was looted was his gun. All the other valuables, such as his computer, were left untouched. Four armed men broke through a glass door, gunned Henk down and then left again. Apparently they took his pistol but nothing else.
