Henrietta Davis

Henrietta Worsley was a journalist and 1935 graduate of Alabama Polytechnic Institute. In 1938, she married Neil Owen Davis, the owner and publisher of two small weekly newspapers—the Lee County Bulletin and the Tuskegee News. Henrietta became an associate editor of the Lee County Bulletin (later Auburn Bulletin). The newspaper swiftly earned wide respect for its thorough reporting, largely the work of Henrietta. She died in 1987 and was inducted into the Alabama Newspaper Hall of Honor in 1997.

The couple had three children, Katherine, Lee, and Owen.
