Henrietta (Sis) was the only girl in the family. She developed Polio when she was about 11 years old and it left her needing braces and crutches to walk. She spent her entire life with her folks on the farm east of Grinnell. She and Loring were quite close as Loring was the youngest child and he also always took her out to where ever they went.
