Henrietta Strahl Martin Riley

Mrs. Etta Riley, 92, died Sunday at 12:15 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Azalia Stephens, of 823 St. Marys Avenue.

Born August 7, 1863, she was the daughter of the late Washington and Margaret Doan Roberts. She was married to Lafayette Strahl, who died in 1905. Charles riley, whom she later married, died in 1934.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Bessie Savage of mcConnelsville, Mrs. Margaret North of Lakeville, Mrs. Mary lewis of The Plains, Mrs. Azalia Stephens of Marietta, mrs. Retta Wogan of Sharpsburg and Mrs. Rose White of Crooksville; two sons, Charles STrahl and H.A. Strahl of Readstown, Wisconsin; one brother, Charles roberts of Zanesville; 41 grandchildren; 112 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Faw cett-Stone Funeral Home in Chesterhill. The Rev. Ross Swindler will officiate and burial will be in Malta Cemetery. (October 18, 1955, Marietta Times)
