Henry Brown (1949 - 2019)

Brief overview:

Henry (70), and his family was attacked by terrorists with “pangas”, a type of machete, on November 3, 2019 on their farm in Mpumalanga South Africa. At around 2am on November 3, 2019 Henry, Martie and Tommy Brown were attacked by four panga wielding terrorists. The attackers gained entry to the house through a window, and during the attack all three victims sustained head injuries.

Tommy managed to fight back and one of the attackers was shot in self-defence. The attacker died. It is believed that the deceased suspect is a pastor of a church in Pienaar, by the name of Thobela.

Henry had a serious head injury and Tommy needed urgent facial reconstruction. A post on facebook by the Bossies Civil Defence Group on 24/12/2019, sadly announced the passing of Henry Brown, after a brave and desperate fight for survival lasting 8 weeks. Albert Greyvenstein of Bossies Community Justice (BCJ) says Henry Brown had been in a coma since the attack. He was treated at Kiaat Private Hospital in Mbombela for serious head injuries.
