About Henry Capps

Henry married Anna Fly June 10, 1818 in Williamson County, TN and arrived in the Christmasville area at or near the same time as cousin William Rogers Capps who married Lucy Fly (sister to Anna) on Oct 12, 1815 in Williamson County, TN.

In or about the same time they migrated, along with Elisha Fly, II (Anna's and Lucy's father) to an area in Gibson County TN along the Obion River, which was later restructured as part of Weakley County. By 1832 they were living on land bought from Elisha Fly II, Anna's father. His land and this graveyard are now in Weakley County. Their nearest neighbor was Davy Crockett.

Henry died in 1835 leaving his widow and several children. Guardian records filed and recorded in the Gibson County Bond & Will Book 1824-Sept.1846
