Henry Bishop Erwin, son of John R. and Hannah (Bishop) Erwin, was born January 1 or 9, 1808 in Rutherford Co, TN. He married Dovey S. (Dora) Susan Corothers born March 12, 1807 in TN and died July 6, 1889. Henry died March 18, 1890 leaving a will dated February 6, 1885.

The court records of Marshall County, TN show that Henry B. Erwin was appointed guardian of his brother's (James Porter Erwin) child, Senah Elizabeth Porter Erwin. Boddie's Historical Southern Families)
