Henry married Dianna Field. Together they had the following children:
Henry Hill Field, Jr.;

Henry married Mary Russell Field on October 7, 1843, in Culpeper, Culpeper, Virginia, USA. Together they had the following children:
Frances Russell Trigg;
Martha Rosa Steele;
William Edward Field;
Mary Virginia McNeal;
Albert Francis Field.

He died on January 10, 1858, in Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas, USA, Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas, United States, and was buried after January 10, 1858, in Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas, United States of America, Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas, United States. He moved with his first wife, Diana Field (Slaughter) to Eufaula, Alabama, until her death, on February 19, 1838. He then moved back to Culpeper County, Virginia for several years. He sold his home in Eufaula he shared with his first wife in 1842, but in the deed, Mr. Field Reserved Ten Square Feet of the lot, which contained the graves of his first wife and child. This became a part of the
Fairview Cemetery Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama, USA He moved back with Mary Russell Field (Colvin) and family by 1848, where they lived until 1855 when they moved to Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas
.


William Hill Field was a very prosperous Merchant and large Plantation owner in Texas until his death, his wife oversaw the business with managers until the oldest son, William Edward Field stepped into his merchant business when he was a teenager and continued to run this business until his retirement.

The Field Family land in Lockhart was sold by his widow and children and heirs over many generations. Henry Hill Field left his widow, children, and grandchildren a legacy. Several generations of Field grand-children and great-grandchildren grew up in this home that still stands in its original beauty today in Lockhart.

The stained glass windows at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church has a plaque in the memory of Field Family name dedicated and donated by the Field family members. [(ref F
