About Henry Julian Gompers
Gompers, Henry Julian (1874-1938), a son of SG and Sophia Julian Gompers, was the AFL's first office boy (1887) and later became a granite cutter. About 1914 he moved from New York City to Washington, D.C., where he ran Gompers' Monumental Works.
