About Henry Patterson
Henry Patterson (Known as Grandad Pat) lived in Lincolnshire, ran away to sea when very young, walked to the East Coast, Stowed away on board a ship going to hull, became cabin boy on a trawler. He became the youngest skipper (aged 19) to take a sail trawler to sea. He became the Managing Director of St Andrews Steam Fishing Company. His proud boast was never to have lost a crew member at sea. Master Mariner in the Deep Sea Fishing Industry.
Apparently researching the Patterson family has been difficult as Henry's name was incorrectly spelt as Pattison. Emily and Henry lived at Brosholme, Dairycoates, Hull. Henry died on March 11 1933
