Services for Henry Thomas Phillips were held June 30 at 1:30 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A.D. Scroggins and Ira Singleton officiating.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti with Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Phillips died in the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis June 27, 1983 at the age of 67.
The son of the late Benjamin Alfred Phillips and Mary Elizabeth Stubbs Phillips, he was born in Pemiscot County March 22, 1916.
He attended the Canady Switch and Mounds schools in Pemiscot County.
He was employed as a boilermaker for the Combustion Engineering Co. of St. Louis.
On July 12, 1974 in St. Louis, he was married to Dorothy Edwards.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. Phillips of Barnhart; one daughter, Helane Susan Phillips of Los Angeles, Calif.; three stepsons, Joseph Buckley of Barnhart, Michael Edwards of Flippin, Ark., and Steven Edwards of Barnhart; two step-daughters, Katherine Courtois of St. Louis County and Debrah Williams of Pevely; one sister, Jannie Ingram of St. Louis; and six step-grandchildren.
