Living in California township, Van Buren County, AR in 1860.

Served in (Witt's Quitman Rifles) 10th Regiment Arkansas Cavalry, Company G, Dobbin's Brigade. After the fall of Vicksburg Henry was captured north of Baton Rouge at Ft Hudson and later paroled. Rejoining his company, he was again captured during Price's Missouri Expedition in the fall of '64. Henry was again paroled at Jacksonport AR on 5 June, 1865, Federal documents state "age 35, Ht 6'2" eyes blue, complex fair, born TN"
