Henry Alfred Ritter was the son of Joel
and Rebecca Matilda Giering Ritter of Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co., PA. Henry was
an undertaker and a farmer. He was born in Salisbury Twp., and died at
Coopersburg, Lehigh Co., PA.

Fraternally he was affiliated with the P.O.S. of A., of Coopersburg, and the Knights of the Golden Eagle, of Center Valley. He was a member of the Coopersburg Moravian church and an elder of the congregation. He was also a former director of the Coopersburg Building and Loan association. There survive his widow, Dora Ritter; a daughter, Mrs. Florence Miller; three sons, Ray Ritter, Arthur Ritter and Harvey Bassler, the latter an adopted son, all of Coopersburg. In addition there survive five
brothers and a sister as follows: Richard, Fayette, N.Y.; Robert, Kutztown; Milton, Newtown; Maurice and John, Allentown, and Mrs. Rebecca Steininger, of Coopersburg. Four grandchildren also survive. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
