Henry Thorpe was born c1600 at an unknown location. He is *Not* the son of John Thorpe and Alice ____. Various bizarre theories have been floated on the Internet about John Thorpe and Alice ____ but see Great Migration Begins p 1817-1818 for John Thorpe and you will clearly see the name of their only child is unknown. That they had a child is only given in a court record without a name and there is no reason to this that child was Henry Thorpe. Theories that widow Alice married William Davis of Roxbury are wrong. Theories that Henry Thorpe had a daughter Alice who married William Davis are wrong. Theories that Henry Thorpe had any children are wrong. Henry died 21 May 1672 in Watertown, MA leaving all his property to his Bullard stepchildren. No evidence ties James Thorpe of Dedham to Henry Thorpe at all (For James Thorpe see Waldo Chamberlain Sprague's Genealogies Of the Families of Braintree, Mass. 1 640-1850) A theory was floated in earlier Bullard Genealogy that Benjamin Bullard married his daughter Elizabeth Thorpe but no evidence can be found for this. In fact we can see that Benjamin Bullard married Elizabeth *Ellis* 1 MAY 1677 in Billerica [Billerica VR 250] not Elizabeth Thorpe.

'In an instrument acknowledged on 15 October 1668, Benjamin Bullard [Henry's step-son] stated that "whereas Henry Thorp of Watertowne deceased ... know ye that I Benjamin Bullard do ... forever acquit ... all claim ... to the said parcel of land by any gift ... from my mother Ann Thorp" [MLR 10:307].' This deed appears to be the same deed referenced by The Ancestry of Eva Belle Kempton [Middlesex Deed, 10:307], to indicate that Anne (Martyn) (Bullard) Thorpe died by 15 Oct 1660.
