Henry H. Troyer, 104, Greentown, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 at Century Villa Healthcare, Greentown.

He was born April 29, 1904 in Miami County to Hiram B. and Amanda (Hochstetler) Troyer. On Nov. 10, 1923 in Howard County he married Silvia J. Hochstetler in Howard County, and she preceded him in death on May 31, 1989.

Henry was a dairy farmer for most of his life, and he was a member of Bethany Fellowship Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Celesta Bontrager, Middlebury; sons Paul J. Troyer, Twelve Mile, Ralph Troyer and wife Kitty, Kokomo, and Eldon Troyer and wife Sue, Kokomo; a son-in-law, Lyle Burkholder, Moulton, Ala.; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; daughters Edna Mast and Clara Burkholder; sisters Katie Ann Bontrager and Salome Gingerich; daughter-in-law Barbara Troyer; sons-in-law Melvin Bontrager and Fred Mast; and one great-grandson.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church, 400 E. 1400 South, Miami County or 600 North 700 East in Howard County. Pastors Darlton Bontrager and Marvin Beachy will officiate.

Burial will follow in Christner Cemetery, Kokomo.
