11 April. Westminster. Concerning the relief of a baron. The king has taken the homage of Henry de Longchamp, son and heir of Petronilla de Vaux, for the manor of South Warnborough, which Petronilla, who has recently died, held from the king. Order to William de Weilond, the king’s escheator on this side of the Trent, that, having accepted security from Henry that he will answer at the Exchequer for his relief, as a baron, he is to cause him to have full seisin of that manor without delay.

27 May. Westminster. For Henry de Longchamp. To the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer. The king has granted to Henry de Longchamp that he may render £5 at the Exchequer of Michaelmas next to come for the £100 in which he is bound to him for his relief, another £5 at the Exchequer of Easter next following, and £10 thus from year to year at the same terms until the aforesaid £100 have been paid to the king. Order to cause Henry to have the aforesaid terms and to cause this to be done and enrolled thus.

18 Sept. Canterbury. For the executors of the earl of Winchester. The executors of R. de Quincy, formerly earl of Winchester, have found the king the below-written pledges, namely John de Eyvill’, Henry de Longchamp, Roger de Vaux and William de Oilly, for rendering debts to the king if the same earl owed him any on the day he died, in as far as the goods and chattels of the same earl suffice to acquit the aforesaid debts.
