BIOGRAPHY: as baby--rented place in Austria --had nursemaid

• summer 1906--at Gmunden for summer holidays--played with landlord's children (Freud's "Little Hans" case study)
• at age 4 move to a new flat, summer 1907 at Gmunden again
• had boy cousin come to visit when Herbert was 4 and cousin was 5
• this cousin (if a first cousin) could not have been a Graf unless the mysterious Paul and Friedrich had children. More likely he would have been a Hoenig, since we know so little about them.
• Jan. 1908--"Little Hans" mentions a visit from "Aunt M." Could this have been Mimi Graf, Malvine Hoenig, or Marie-Valerie Hoenig?

childhood home in Hietzing--guests included Mahler, Kokoschka, Strauss, Schoenberg

• during WW I living conditions bad in V.--was sent to Berlin to spend a summer with aunt, who had lovely house in suburbs--saw Max Reinhardt productions--age 16 (This aunt would have to have been a Hoenig, if it was a direct aunt)
