Memorial services for Herbert Bradley Laird, 38, of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of Des Moines, will be at 2 p.m. today at Merle Hay Mortuary. The body was cremated, and burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens. Mr. Laird died Sept. 3 in a Flagstaff, Ariz., hospital. The cause of death was diagnosed as a blood infection from surgery to remove his spleen. ' Mr. Laird was born in Iowa and lived in Des Moines 20 years. He formerly worked for Chrysler Credit Corp. and was a veteran of the Air Force. Survivors include two daughters, Kelly and Amy, a son, Nicholas, and his parents, Darrel and Ruby Laird, all of Bella Vista, Ark.; three brothers and two sisters.
