

BLACKFOOT--Herb L. McKinney, 72, died Saturday at the Bingham Memorial Hospital, where he had been hospitalized for two days after suffering a stroke.
He was born Sept. 16, 1893, in Solo, Mo., the son of Lee and America McKinney. He married Ethel Proctor March 1, 1915, In Sydney, Iowa. They came to Idaho 43 years ago and he farmed near Pingree, Springfield and Rockford. He operated the Texaco service station in Springfield for a number of years. Mrs. McKinney died April 8 1957.
He Is survived by four sons and six daughters: Hubert E McKinney, Kentfield, Calif.; Lee McKinney, Seattle, Wash.; Clayton McKinney, Pocatello; Duane McKinney, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. George (Gladys) Sjostrom , Mrs. Dean (Marjorie) Richardson and Mrs. Clarice Rogers, all of Seattle; Mrs. Hans (Thelma) Hennebold, Pingree; Mrs. Walter (Irene) Smalley and Mrs. Harold (Afton) Holmes, both of Redmond, Ore.; one brother and four sisters also survive. There are 30 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Jason Lee Memorial Methodist Church, by Rev. 0. Rex Lindemood, pastor. Burial will be in the Riverside-Thomas cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Sandberg-Hill Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.
