About Herman (Chaim,Moshe) Oppenheimer

Since age of 15, sick person.

After his marriage to Carola Wolner on January 8 1930 in Nurnberg, worked in the furniture store owned by his father in law Heinrich Wolner.

Was arrested and convicted by the Nazis for "malicious attack against the government" on May 11 1933. A "friend" that owed money to the furniture store, turned him in because he read to him a newspaper clip describing describing Nazi atrocities.

Was release from prison September 28 1933.

Immigrated to Palestine February 1934.

Scraped a living working for a glass store. Handyman, school custodian, and custodian for the municipality. Simultaniously, repaired small appliance such as electric shavers, cigarette lighters. Grew and sold vegetables, chickens, eggs, flowers.

From 1945 to 1950 worked for the large ATA textile company as a repair men in the finished clothing department, repairing and maintaining sawing machines, button sawing machines, textile cutting machines, office machines etc.
