Herman Esker of Green Creek vicinity died Monday afternoon April 30, 1928 of double pneumonia of short duration

Funeral services were held at St Mary’s Church Green Creek Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. internment in nearby parish cemetery. the obsequies were largely attended by relatives from Bishop Creek and Teutopolis and neighbors. Father Frederick Neveling local pastor officiated.

Deceased leaves his wife nee Elizabeth Shabbing, four children, two boys and two girls; four brothers, Frank of Franklin and Tony, Ben, and Joseph of Teutopolis, two sisters Mrs Henry Beckman of west of Bishop Creek and Mrs John Doedtmann of south of Dieterich, one half-sister Mrs Joseph Mette of north of Bishop Creek church and one half brother Henry Esker of Muenster, Texas.

Mr Esker was the son of Henry Esker and Catherine Pille being born March 27, 1878 at Franklin.
