Death of a Dutch Litterateur.

Heer Herman Heijermans, Member of the Council of the Jewish Community in Rotterdam, died last week at the age of eighty-five. He was Assistant Editor of the important daily paper, the Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant, with which he had been connected since bis early manhood. A warm tribute to his loyal and useful co-operation was paid at the funeral by the Chief Editor. The deceased was father of the well-known dramatist and novelist, Herman Heijermans, some of whose plays have been performed in England.
