H. A. KIMPTON, 60-YEAR RESIDENT OF FLORENCE, DIES

Herman Allan Kimpton, 80, a resident of Florence the past 60 years, died about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at a Florence hospital following a serious illness of only a few hours. He had been in failing health for about two years.

Mr. Kimpton was born July 31, 1876 at Jerrico, Vt. He resided in Nebraska and Denver a short time after leaving Vermont before moving to Florence, his home since. He was a retired stationary engineer, having worked for many years with the Continental Boiler plant.

Mr. Kimpton married Irene Falconer at Florence in 1902. she preceded him in death in 1937. Three sons survive, Paul of Glendale, Calif., Walter of Florence and David of Vallejo, Calif. There are three grandchildren. One brother, Jason, lives in Manchester, Tenn.

Mr. Kimpton was a member of the Florence Christian church, from which services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. under the direction of the Florence mortuary. Interment will be made in Union-Highland cemetery.
