Grandpa Leo died in Jenkins Nursing Home in Watertown, SD. The family was called by the home early in the morning on the day he died. Neil and Bud were the first arrive. The nurse's gave them a stephascope and they listened to Grandpa's heart until he died. Marvel and Grandma arrived shortly after he died. The weather was not good and there was a snowstorm on the day he died. I remember visiting him in the home shortly before he died. He was in a lot of pain and they had him on morphine. He was a dear and special man. He could always make us laugh. |
