Immigration June 14, 1866 To America Herman and Matilda were members of the New Sweden Lutheran church and were married in this church by Rev. J.E. Rehnstorm. They lived on a 5 acre homeplace that was owned by Andrew Peterson. There their oldest children were born. (Charles L., Alma Wilhemelmia, Hattie Rose. They moved to Montgomery Co. in 1877 to late 1878 along with Andrew Peterson and Andrew Quick. Interesting note, the minister who married Herman moved to Red Oak, IA in 1877.
