About Hermann Feit
Hermann FEIT was a cattle trader. He was called Heymann Faist before family names were adopted in the Rheinland in 1808, and his wife was called Leids (also spelled Leitz and Leize) Benjamin. Hermann was a representative of the Jewish community of Niederzissen (Vorsteher).
The gravestone of Hermann FEIT was moved after World War II to the Jewish cemetery in Koblenz. In 2007, it was returned to Niederzissen as I was informed by Brunhilde Stürmer, a chronicler of local Jewish history and an author of several books already mentioned. I do not know what circumstances caused it to be moved to Koblenz. ~ Ralph Baer
