The address "Jerusalemerstr. 49" is very interesting as there were also some of the other SACHS persons living which I've mentioned in an earlier e-mail: - C. NOTE: It is unclear where Hermann was living in the years 1884 through 1889 - there are just the initials of the given names.
Two persons foun in those years could be identical with Hermann SACHS, but we cannot be sure:
- H. SACHS, 1885: Kaufmann; 1885: C, Seydelstr. 21 - H. SACHS, 1889: Handelsmann; 1889: C, Prenzlauerstr. 9

NOTE: Hermann SACHS moved to the "poorer" Berlin N to his wife's family and stayed there before moving on to his "old" neighborhood in Berlin SW (Alte Jakobstr.) in 1898. It seems to be related to his financial situation - he was called a Handelsmann until 1894 and a Kaufmann since then. Nine years later the family could afford to move to an even better neighborhood at Tempelhofer Ufer at the Landwehr Channel. The Mansteinstr. today is a rather poor neighborhood - located directly at the city railway then and now. What made them move here?
