1746. Andriesz (Harmanus) states that his wife's Mother, named Cornelia, daughter of Nansane of the Cape, is still a slave in the Company's lodge ; he wishes to see her liberated, as she is old and weak, and therefore asks the Council to comply with his request, offering in exchange f lOO Indian valuation. ANDRESEN HERMANUS (S Andriesen).- Harrenstätte. Known at the Cape as Hermanus Andriesz van Harrenstee of Emden. Arquebusier 1722-27, constable's mate 1728-51, constable 1752-54. ~ 3.7.1740 Agatha of the C., daughter of the slave Cornelia of the C., daughter of Nansane of the C.
