About Hermine Singer

According to “Die Toten von Mauritius” compiled by Ronald Friedmann, Hermine Singer died there on 3rd March 1944. She was one of many who were exiled by the British upon trying to enter Palestine without permits. They were firstly interned in Atlit Detention Camp in Palestine and then deported to the Beau Bassin Jewish Detainment Camp on Mauritius, which existed from 26th December 1940 until 12th August 1945
